The services of the Resort are so poor and unprofessional spoiling a location otherwise well above average. The self-service breakfast is just a disgusting party for flies but the hotel management it s probably so used to it that doesn t move a finger to eliminate the problem. Dirty dishes and glasses complete the picture. Quality of food below average, even considering just the Thai food offered. Poor or no maintenance is now getting the whole facilities, which were probably good in the past, falling apart. The transport offered from/to the port on the back of a lorry driven by a reckless driver it s the business card of the Resort. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We had a great vacation on Haad Tien resort. We were a big family with teenagers and really enjoyed the beach, the pool area, the restaurants and the high service and friendly staff.

Très mauvaise expérience. Bungalow délabré hors de prix au bord de l eau. Serviettes trouées à chaque change. Draps pas changés pendant 5 jours. L entier bungalow manque d éclairage, y compris dans la douche et les we. Stores extérieurs cassés. Le parasol déchiré. Les prix au restaurant sont marqués en HT, il faut rajouter donc environ 17% de taxes. En 4 semaines de voyage en Thaïlande et 5 locations différentes, c etait la seule fois que nous rencontrons ce type de comportement commercial destiné à faire payer un maximum le client. Pour aller en ville, le tarif est de 150 THB, mais si on est seul le tarif double. Pour une location à 12000 THB la nuit, dans un cadre idyllique, les serviettes trouées et les services déplorables sont inacceptable. Surtout pour ces tarifs en Thaïlande. Beautiful hotel with its own beach in the distance from the center.. the Sea is shallow and fairly clean.Great pool. A good Breakfast. Staff the staff competent and friendly. Rooms are clean. Disadvantages - night noise generator is sometimes unbearable. Too expensive extra bed. In the evening mosquitoes. Local transfers are expensive.Many staff are on the case.

Certainly not a four-star standard. Rooms are not very well equipped especially bathrooms with very little space, a basic shower gel and hair shampoo... Not even a shower cap... we had booked 2 getaway villas, their location was really nice, very close to the beach but: in ours there was a leak in the roof (we finished the night with a bin in the middle of the bed because of a big tropical storm), the sink was stuffed and the flushing system in the toilets out of order. Each time we had to call someone to fix the problem... The WI-FI was just a daily struggle... To get to one of the two villages close to the hotel, we had to pay for the hotel shuttle (kind of mean considering the price of the rooms). The worse part was the pool, beautiful but so dirty (obviously a problem of filters) that we could not swim in it during four days (out of 13 days of holidays there, which is a lot !). We also understood that the pool is shared with another resort, the haad tien beach club, so that it may be very busy... Overall a big disappointment, since we ve already been many times in such hotels in Thailand. This one did not meet our expectations, far from them. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Super schönes Beach Bungolow,(217)in absteigender Zahlenfolge immer näher zum Restaurant, wo auch alle Leute daran vorbei laufen. denn noch finde ich dass dafür zuviel verlangt wird. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet, leider ohne frischen Fruchtsäfte. Den Service fand ich nicht gut. das meer ist herrlich, tolle Bucht, schön zum Schnorcheln. Wir sahen Schildkröten und kleine Haie.

Die Lage des Hotels ist grandios. Der zum Hotel zugehörige Strand bestehend aus feinstem weißen Sand und türkisblauem Meer sind ein Traum. Auch die Anlage passt sich sehr schön ins Landschaftsbild ein. Diese Gegebenheiten werden vom Haad Tien leider bis auf den letzten Tropfen ausgequetscht. Darunter leiden viele Dinge. Angefangen bei der Sauberkeit der Zimmer über die Fubktionsweise des Internet.... Den Höhepunkt der Unzulänglichkeiten bildet allerdings die Unfreundlichkeit des Personals. Die Angestellten der Rezeption sprechen miserabel englisch behandeln einen zudem wie den letzten Bittsteller. Wenn man mit einer Frage an die Rezeption herantritt wird man erstmal zur Kasse gebeten...ein einfacher Wechsel des Zimmers nimmt einen ganzen Tag im Anspruch und man muss nicht nur einmal sondern hundertmal nachfragen ob sich was getan hat und wird dann nur wieder mit der Aussage vertröstet, dass es sich noch um 3 Stunden verschiebt! DAS ist sicher nicht das, was man von einem 4 Sterne Resort erwartet. Auch der neu errichtete Beach Club wird keine Qualitätssteigerung nach sich ziehen zumal der Strand schon mit den Gästen des Resorts absolut an seine Aufnahmekapazitäten stößt! Die Zimmer des BC sind sehr stilvoll gestaltet. Leider stank es im Bad unserer Zimmer bestialisch nach Kloake und die Verbindungstür zum Nachbarzimmer ist so dünn, dass man jedes Wort des Nachbarn versteht... Fazit: wer Ruhe sucht ist hier (noch) gut aufgehoben. Wer allerdings die Grundzüge eines Servicegedanken erwartet sollte hier niemals hinfahren. Er wird sehr unangenehm enttäuscht werden! Hotel located on a nice location, very private. Castaway Beach Villa is highly recommended. I stayed in Room 210, it s just on the beach and 5 steps to the sea. Great! The only problem was the bathroom door is so clear, which make it a little uncomfortable if you are travelling with friends. We have to use beach towels to cover it up. But if you are couple, this wouldn t be a problem. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Fantastic location with great beach for snorkelling and everything you need close at hand. Friendly staff and good food, but the service at the restaurant and the breakfast could be better. Stayed in Castaway villa 215 which had great location where the beach was less busy and the view from the room was like a postcard. Can easily recommend this hotel. Unfortunately there is construction work near the hotel which might be disturbing for those who stay close by and probably will make this beach less scenic in a couple of years with a number of new hotels. The location was great, but the room was litle to small for Three person, at least when the third person was 17. You have no variation at lunch time, no resturante or hotel at the beach. You need to eat at the hotel. But the food was great. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Selling insect spray would be a good idea. A good place for well off middle aged couples with children. Not cheap. Very clean beach. Good, although somewhat boring, food. Total hipster s delight, so to say, except for the Internet quality.

It s a paradise. If you want to relax and have a quiet and beautiful location Haad Tien s the place to go. Service is good, staff is so nice, the surrounding is just beautiful. They work in the garden tirelessly. Breakfast is good. We ate most nights at the restaurant and had cocktails at the beach bar. Water is so beautiful and calm - perfect for swimming. We stayed in the hideaway villa 113, the outdoor furniture is not the most comfortable there but for being outside the beach is the best place to go anyway. We had a little hassle with pick up as they were waiting at the other port and didn t write it in the response email, but we found out and all was good in the end. One night we went to the city with the shuttle bus but were glad to return after a few hours (which was too long in my opinion). The experience was really good. Would definitely go back! A true paradise. The resort is beautiful, the staff friendly and helpful, the beach is like a picture postcard and the hut was just perfect, clean and comfortable. My only issue would be that the resort advertises the beach as being private. It is not, all the beaches in Thailand are public. Therefore many vistiors from other resorts come to the bay and beach. I stayed at Haad Tien with my girlfriend and two of our friends and we all agreed it was fantastic! We were picked up from the ferry jetty by some of the staff who carried our bags and dropped us to Haad Tien s front desk. We were greeted there with cold drinks and booked into our rooms quickly...with a free upgrade in rooms! The Getaway room was super clean, air-conditioned and very nice to stay in, although the cloth partition between the bedroom/toilet was a bit thin! The rooms are cleaned each day and if you need a break, they have plenty of TV channels and a big range of free DVDs. The pool is as good as it looks in the photos and we spent many hours beside the pool and beach bar meeting the very happy and welcoming staff and enjoying the food and cheap drinks. They provide kayaks for exploring the island and snorkels for exploring the coral just off the Haad Tien beach. The food at the restaurant at night was affordable and delicious. There is also a massage facility at the resort, but it is much cheaper to go into town for this – the resort runs a free shuttle 3 times a day into town. However, I think the best part was meeting the wonderful staff. They were all such delightful people and made our stay fantastic. I highly recommend Haad Tien. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

很好的酒店。靠着一片沙滩，沙和苏梅本岛相比不算细，但是也还不错了。可以找前台租DVD看，也有中文字幕。酒店人不多，很适合住个三五天休假放松。就是出去有点不方便，还有，看不见日出也看不见日落。

入住两天，因为第二次到涛岛，所以对各家酒店都有全面了解，750块的Villa 酒店布局太大，所以我住的Villa海景不算太好，不过也无所谓，因为下坡几十米就是绵延的海岸线，房间不错，酒店早餐也可以，海水还行，游出岸边一百米才会有鱼，如果要看鱼的，可以定charm churee，那里的Jason BAY不错的，就是房间不如哈天，酒店出行完全靠摩托，第一次开摩托，对我来说不错体验，其他同级别酒店我们也都到此一游嗨过，都是一份价钱一份货。smileHouse 千万别定，不过饭店夕阳不错，位置也比哈天他们好. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

The staff were great, every single one of them. Obliging, always smiling. excellent with our 5 year old son as well as all the other children. The breakfast was excellent. The choices incredible, too much choice really! Lots of Fresh Tropical Fruits, yogurts, cereals, pastries, bagels, toast & spreads, a selection of about 10 different warm asian dishes (noodles, rice dishes, meat dishes), made to order pancakes, omelettes, poached, fried or boiled eggs, selection of sausages, bacon & so much more I can t even remember & the usual breakfast beverages (hot & cold), The free shuttle was great. So was the pool & the beach was nice, the sand was whitish/golden & clean, unlike most on the island. There were bits of dead coral, mostly along the high tide mark, but we never found it a problem as there was plenty of soft sand to walk on. Snorkelling was good, straight off the beach or you can hire kayaks for a small cost & go further out into the deeper, clearer water. This Bay is where other people pay to go on a snorkelling tour. We did a one day snorkel tour on our first day & later realised it was better to go off the beach & around the rocks (on both ends of the bay). The resort isn t as isolated as we first thought & is quite close to the village of Baan Chalok. We would get there through the neighboring resort called New Heaven where the view is stunning & a great place to have lunch or a cool beverage. To get there you walk 1 minute easy walk through the rocks to the right (if facing the beach) then up some quite steep stairs next to a private sign (but don t worry it s ok to go this way, especially if you buy a drink or have a meal at the restaurant, they really don t mind). So when you get to the top you will see the restaurant. The village is at the top of the stairs. It is a great village with loads of cafes, including lots if internet) & bars & little shops, chemist, cheap but excellent massage, pedicure etc. To get back to Haad Tien you can either walk through to the end of village & you will see the right hand turn where the resort truck takes you. It takes 20 minutes at a steady but not frantic pace to get back. Otherwise you can catch a taxi boat (50 baht per adult, kids free) from OK2 Bungalow resort at the very end of the road (turn left out of new heaven), also a good spot for lunch & bevvies. One time I caught the resort taxi there & it was 150 Baht. There is also a taxi stand in the middle of the village but it is very expensive, i think it was 400baht to the resort which seems obscene but if you go out to the village for dinner & drinks then this is probably your best bet at getting home & wouldn t end up being that much if shared between 4 or 5. We did this quite a bit as after 3 days the resort food got a bit bland & is a little on the pricey side. And preferred this little village to the village at the pier. Sairee was way too busy & touristy for our liking but we are 43 & 48 so younger people may prefer the busy, expensive village. The hideaway villa we had was more private than most & all things considered, we were happy with it. The resort has an air of exclusivity about it & the grounds are nicely maintained. It was a lovely place to return to after a day of exploring the island. The pool & service at the beach bar were faultless!! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Very impressive! I changed my booking & dates from resort to resort 3 times & they kept track of my payments & adjusted them accordingly without any problems. English was excellent & the lady I dealt with never lost her patience with me changing my mind 3 times. She reassured me every step of the way with confirmation emails outlining every little detail, especially keeping track of payment adjustments. I would definitely use them again!! :)

環境很美的酒店 服務非常好 除了櫃台那兩位臉非常臭的小姐 請她幫我更改機位她說OK了!結果到了機場泰航小姐說根本沒有更改記錄 我還給了她小費的 還好我坐商務艙還有座位 我們一家三口住訂的是泳池房 房價不便宜 但房間非常好 隱密性好 泳池的水很乾淨 在酒店的最裡面所以很安靜 陽台有個沙發床很大 可以躺三個人 我們每晚都躺在那數星星 聽著蟲鳴鳥叫很愜意喔!房間有無線網路但訊號很弱 早餐很好有現點的拿鐵或卡布 還可以點現榨果汁 鬆餅 蛋捲 法國吐司 你要主動問 他們不會主動問你要不要點 我們還試過一次晚餐食物並不好吃泰國菜做的不好 後來就出去外面吃了!又好吃又便宜 我們住了四晚為了方便出去租了摩托車 也租了ATV 酒店路有修的比較好了 晚上也有很多老外騎車進出 所以一點都不可怕 完全沒問題 [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Very beautiful scenery at the beach, the swimming pool was using sea water and not very clean. Best place for snorkeling and we can see a lot of kinds of fish at somewhat shallow water. The gateway villa was beautiful and comfort, but the shower has some problem even after repair. The food in restaurant was good although not so cheap. I thought it was a place worth trying. The place is fabulous, the beach is the most attractiv beach of the island The very attractive castaway family beach, decorated tastefully and sobriety the magnificent restaurant with the tables up to the beach, The design of the swimming pool, the staff is really charming, smiling, (in the reception, in the restaurant, the Domestic staff, the crew of the boat, everybody does his best so that stay is unforgettable , the Thai people welcome is not a legend! Just some points on which the improvements can be brought: - The quality of the breakfast   - The diving club near the hotel ask the double than the other scuba school of the island for a bad service and the staff except the responsable don t speak english It s a pity that kayak are a paying activity If you change this , everything will be perfect! I can t come up with a complaint. Every need was tended to and they were very busy and completely booked. We stayed more nights despite the high cost. This beach is the best on the island and the snorkling right off the beach is great. Food was good, beer was cold, the room was spotless. We will be going back no doubt. 酒店很美,我定了HIDE-WAY,但感觉除了比小别墅略小点,基本没区别,也是独立的,房间很舒服,和5星的一样干净,又略带泰国味道,没有牙刷,而且靠海也很近.酒店有私人海滩,虽然安全线出去一点就是浮浅点,但安全线以内还是无法浮浅的,水很多沙,看不见鱼,如果要浮浅还是要去一日游,有家DIAMOND不错,带我们浮浅的MARK英国人,技术好,人也好.酒店员工都非常热情和友好,BEACH BAR还有个会,讲点中文,除了RECEPTION有个较胖的女的,态度真不好,除了最后让我给她打分的时候笑过,其他都扳着脸,但对白人就很热情.她服务和酒店的其他部分很不相称.酒店餐厅的THAI FOOD不错,海鲜就做的很一般了,FLY非常多,建议大家一人就点一个菜,不然赶苍蝇都来不及.酒店免费提供码头接送,但平时要去码头就只能坐1天三次的班车了,不过感觉码头除了买点水,其他也没什么可以逛了,要逛不如在苏梅逛.酒店的环境非常好,大草坪,宽阔的海滩. Nice location, one of the few in Ko Tao not on the hills but directly on the beach. Pros: very clean and functional room. Lovely pool. Nice staff, helpful. Cons: overcharged the bills in the restaurant (it happened twice in 4 days), they tell you happy hour is 50% but it s not, the massage price went strangely up when we asked for it... it makes you feel ripped-off. The room (sea balcony) is really small. The beach could be cleaned by the staff. Despite the cons, would go again as it s a perfect place when traveling with children. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

A wery good place for everone. We traweling with a 6-year old son and we and he love d the place. Wery nice poolarea. We stayed in two different accomendation at Haad Tien. The first were à Villa with our own pool. Wery nice and clean inside the villa. À suggestion is that book an extrabed if you traweling with bigger children - we take the madress from outside sunbed to sleep on. For 5-nights we should stay in à Castaway villa but got upgrade free of chargé to à new builded Castaway Family villa just on the beach. Wery nice accomindation, wery large area for a family of 2- adults and 2- children if you so like. Over both beds mosqito net s. Both accomendation s were one of the top 3 places/hotels that We have stayed at since 15-years back traweling around the world. Breakfest realy okey. Lunch okey. Dinner taste okey but you got board after à week. We had to pay 3000 Bath per Adult and 1500 Bath for child in advince for Compulsory New Year Dinner - we thought that were wery expensive - BUT it were worth every Bath and taste fantastic...!!! If we will come back to Koh Tao again so is HaadTien the place that we staying at...!!! Warmly recommending the place..!! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Very nice hotel with good services. We got upgraded to getaway villa which is a step away from the beach. Its a quiet location and beach. Hotel has pick up service from the pier and free shuttle bus service to town. This can be one of the best hotel in Koh Tao judging by all hotels we saw there. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

My family and me spent a wonderful vacation in June 2011 on Koh Tao staying at Haad Tien Beach Resort. The facilities at Haad Tien Beach Resort are located in a nice bay with clean water. The beach with its smoothly slope, corals and lots of fishes is suitable for small children as well as for snorkeling. The swimming pool beside the beach is partly sheltered from the sun and valuable for refreshing. Breakfast and dinner are served in the InSea restaurant, a nice area only sheltered by thatched roof beside the beach. Served were continental and asian style breakfasts with fresh fruits as well as Thai and international dishes for dinner. The accommodation is well integrated into the nature. Our Hideaway villa was as shown on the website, value the money payed but partly (particularly in the bathroom) a little bit worn by the years. The service is generally very good and child-friendly. Annoying were noises from a construction area for building up new accommodation inthe resort. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Отель хорош для тех, кто хочет спокойного отдыха на пляже, но в тоже время, быть недалеко от центров активной жизни. Номер замечательный. Персонал очень дружелюбный и предупредительный. Отдыхать было очень комфортно. Замечательные завтраки. Шеф-повар постарался представить тайскую кухню во всем разнообразии. После Тао мы были на Самуи и в Бангкоке - такого не было. Пляж мелкий. Мы любители снорка. Решили проблему с помощью каяка. Наше любое место было Шарк исланд. Большое спасибо отелю.

Sehr schönes Resort mit wunderschönen Bugalows. Für KohTao der perfekte Ort abseits des Massenauflaufs an einem kleinen Privatstrand. Sehr sauber und das Personal überaus feundlich. Ideal für Leute die Ruhe suchen, wobei ein Suttleservice in den Trubel besteht, der leider nur dreimal am Tag hin und einmal abends spät zurück kostenlos ist. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Haad Tien Resort is situated in the wonderful Shark Bay. It is very secluded, so you need a car or something else to get around. Shuttle bus service to the pier is offered, but only 3 times a day and not retour. The fat lady at the reception is very unfriendly. Our bungalow (nr. 110) was perfectly situated up the hill, so you could overlook the sea. A very nice location, but the price is a little bit to high for the island. You get definitely better options on the island for less money (for example freedom beach resort).

The hotel is charming and has no equivalent on the island. The villas are hidden under palm trees and next to the beach. The hotel service is great and the restaurant is very good although the card is simple. The pool is under construction and should be finished shortly. Overall great hotel 15mn from the port and on the best beach on the island.

The locatition is perfect but road is not easy to go by motocycle or walk. Cottages are excellent like in a park. The good quality beach is privte and good for kayak or snorkle. The pavillion bar provide very good drink for guests but meal was so so. All staff are very helpful and kindly like family. Any way, we spent unforgetble holidy here and like to back in further.

We 4 persons stayed, at Haad Tien Beach Resort to days in november. Fantastic factily and same with service. The resport did what they could with regards to rain, and found some sunshine after one day. The resort is being built at the moment and didn t seem finish yet. The room was poor built with too thin walls (sounded like the birds were inside the bungalow). There were no curtains, which meant that the sunlight woke us up at 7 am. Breakfast was not very varied and the quality was not 4 star either. All in all a bad experience and we left 1 day earlier with no refund. I will not recommend this hotel to anybody! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We stood there for 9 nights. A beautiful beach, and several times snorkeling with sharks!! But if you see the internet page you will expect more. We ve been a bit disappointed when arrived in the resort and saw our bungalow. All together it was a nice time, but don t expect too much.
